As a part of Bharat Soka Gakkai’s community outreach program, volunteers from BSG supported the students from Gyandeep Growth Foundation prepare a skit on SDG 13, climate action, from July-September 2023.
The theme of the skit was ‘Prithvi Bachao, Jeevan Bachao’ (Save Earth, Save Life)
Regular practice sessions with the BSG Volunteers helped the students gain confidence, read and learn their dialogues, understand teamwork, learn about voice modulation, hone their acting skills, and think innovatively and analytically about a solemn topic like climate action.
The Founder’s Day was held on 16th September 2023, Saturday, 3pm to 5pm at the Green Park Arya Samaj Mandir Hall, Delhi.
After the skit presentation, the students shared their determinations towards sustainability and climate action.
BSG volunteers also supported the Founder’s Day event as make-up artist, prop-making expert, and photography expert.
The close to 300 guests who had gathered for the event really appreciated the efforts of BSG and developed a deeper understanding of the ‘BSG for SDG’ initiative.
