BSG and Jaipur National University (JNU) took a step forward to strengthen their association with a new initiative which aims to honor unsung protagonists in the fields of Education, Medical & Community Healthcare and Social Services from the State of Rajasthan.

This initiative aims to recognize the humanitarian contributions of those unknown champions who have worked tirelessly in the above areas, especially during the extremely trying times of the Covid 19 pandemic. It reflects the shared vision of both organizations who are working towards a more humane and equitable society by focusing on the achieving the (Sustainable Development Goals) SDGs.

At a press conference held in Jaipur on 15th December 2021, JNU and BSG, announced the institution of the ‘Change Maker Humanity Award’. The award will be an annual feature, starting with Rajasthan and will eventually spread across India.

The ‘Change Maker Humanity Award’ are awards with a heart – Awards based on humanism and the belief that ordinary individuals have the greatest potential to create change in society. The award categories that have been put together reflect this ethos. Each category is unique and aims to encourage and motivate more and more people to develop hope and courage in life and work for the betterment of humanity.

Speaking of this initiative, Chancellor/Chairman, JNU, Dr Sandeep Bakshi said “The Change Maker Humanity Award has been instituted to identify and recognize the efforts made to alleviate the untold suffering that humanity has been through especially in the last couple of years. We are happy to be associated with BSG in this endeavor and hope that this brings many unacknowledged people into limelight”

Addressing the media at the Press Conference BSG Chairperson Mr Vishesh Gupta said, “The Change Maker Humanity Award aims to felicitate humanitarians from all walks of life who have worked selflessly to building a humane society. Both, JNU and BSG, instituted this award to put the spotlight on those, whose contributions have helped to create a world ‘where no one is left behind’.”

The ‘Change Maker Humanity Award’ have 24 award categories and 45 awards will be given to the winners and runners-up in various categories under each area of Education, Medical & Community Healthcare and Social Services.

Individuals, teams, and institutes in Rajasthan (who fulfil the criteria) can be nominated for this award. Nominations for the awards opened from yesterday, December 15, 2021 and will close on February 15, 2022. The winners will be selected from the shortlisted nominations by an eminent jury panel. The award conferral ceremony will be held in Jaipur on 26th March 2022.
