Gandhian N. Radhakrishnan lectures at the Institute of Oriental Philosophy in Tokyo
- On April 3, 2007, Dr N. Radhakrishnan, former director of the Gandhi Smriti and Samiti Darshan, New Delhi, was invited to lecture at an Indo-Japan Joint Symposium held at the Institute of Oriental Philosophy in Tokyo, to mark the centenary of the satyagraha movement under Gandhi, and the 50th anniversary of second Soka Gakkai President Josei Toda’s Declaration of the Abolition of Nuclear Weapons on September 8, 1957 in Yokohama.

Daisaku Ikeda Corner on Culture of Peace at IGNCA library in New Delhi -
On October, 28th 2006, Dr N. Radhakrishnan, Chairman of the Indian Council of Gandhian Studies, inaugurated the Daisaku Ikeda Corner as well as the Gandhi King Ikeda: A Legacy of Building Peace exhibition at Indira Gandhi National Center for Arts, New Delhi.
(IGNCA) Keeping pace with the welcome trend of Gandhi’s philosophy of non-violence being seen as not only the ethical but also the practical answer to the wave of conflict and terror in society, the Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts (IGNCA), has reserved a section of its library to publications on ‘Building a Culture of Peace’.

Nair, Ramon Magsaysay awardee Rajendra Singh, and Dr.Arunaben Desai, for this year’s Jamnalal Bajaj Award. Dr. Arunaben Desai, is the other recipient of this award, for uplift and welfare of women and Children.
