Tughlakabad Biodiversity Park, New Delhi.
A Tree Plantation Day by The Times of India highlighted the dangerously high levels of air pollution and its impact on people’s health. A citywide promotion was planned by TOI where people were encouraged to take action against air pollution in their own way.Around 30,000 trees were planted at Tughlakabad Biodiversity Park with the aim of making Delhi greener and more environment-friendly. This could be one way of helping overcome the pollution crisis that the Capital faces today. Participants in the drive included representatives from schools, colleges, NGOs, corporations, spiritual organisations, local army jawans, Territorial Army, boy & girl scouts and NCC in addition to the general public.
The event was covered in TOI publications, Radio Mirchi, outdoor advertising, online & social networking sites.
Members of BSG including Future Division members enthusiastically participated in planting of saplings.
